Roy Bradshaw Author
The Customer
Roy Bradshaw, is a local Shropshire children’s book author. He has had a reciprocal career in education, from where much of his inspiration to write has come. His wonderful stories are set in the beautiful Shropshire countryside and highlight many famous landmarks. Roy has teamed up with Shropshire based Illustrator Toni Sian Williams who has created wonderful illustrations for the beautiful Barley’s Biscuit stories.
As a self taught, new and intrepid writer Roy has a vivid imagination, his story plots are complex but interestingly descriptive and the characters are crisp.
The project
We were tasked with the exciting job of creating a new website and logo for Roy to showcase his children’s books and utilise a ‘shop front’ to help promote and sell his stories.
Website Functionality
The website has an integrated email marketing system which will be used for automated promotions and customer communications. The site also includes:
✔️Animated text & image functions
✔️Mobile Responsive Design
✔️SSL Security
✔️Customer Notifications
The website also includes all analytical information to monitor sales, traffic sources and more.
Logo & Brand theme design
We also created a logo and brand theme design which can be used across all media including print and digital. The logo is very versatile and can be used with multiple background colours.
This website was built using squarespace which is our preferred website platform, mainly for its simplicity and user experience. We find that squarespace offers great value for money with add ons such as booking systems, email marketing and e-commerce functionality. If you are looking to build a site yourself, or have a designer build you one that is ridiculously easy to use, this would be our recommended platform.
We are loving all the exciting stories that Roy has wrote! We look forward to his next book launch coming soon!
