Project Overview
The Shropshire Charity Network were looking for a new digital space to grow the visibility of local charities, connect them with valuable suppliers, and provide resources to support their missions. It was a privilege to bring this vision to life, creating a site that not only champions Shropshire’s charitable organisations but also fosters meaningful connections within the network.
Planning and Design Approach
At the start of this project, I developed a mood board to visualise the style and brand direction for the website. This process helped shape the look and feel, guiding the choices in colours, typography, and overall aesthetics. I also created various graphical shapes to reinforce the unique identity of The Shropshire Charity Network, ensuring that the visuals would resonate with the target audience while providing a welcoming and modern appeal.

User-Friendly Navigation
Prioritising ease of use, the website navigation is designed to be both intuitive and enjoyable. Visitors can quickly find what they’re looking for, enhancing user experience from the outset.
Bold, Simple Design with Interactive Visuals and CTAs
Striking yet minimalist, the overall design features bold visuals and thoughtfully placed CTA buttons, engaging visitors while keeping the focus on content. The floating, minimalistic menu adds a contemporary touch, maintaining accessibility throughout the site.
Fluid Dividers and Sectional Layout
To maintain a clean yet visually engaging design, fluid dividers separate sections, guiding the eye naturally from one area to the next. This design choice adds a sense of cohesion across the site, reinforcing its simplicity and modern appeal.
Animated Graphics for an Engaging Experience
I decided to create a fun scribble screen feature on the website as a fun and engaging way to thank users for joining the network. The site also has subtle scaling animations throughout which brings the site to life, without detracting from the user journey. These small but impactful elements help reflect the energy and passion behind The Shropshire Charity Network.
Categorised Network of Charities and Suppliers
A core element of the site is its comprehensive, categorised network, featuring profiles for each charity in Shropshire. Additionally, we’ve included detailed profiles for suppliers—ranging from marketing experts to accountants—who contribute their expertise at network events, making it easier for charities to find support they may need.
News & Resources Section
This section is packed with helpful tips and guides on essential topics like marketing, software, and accounting. By offering a steady flow of useful insights, the network serves as a resource hub, helping charities to grow their reach and impact.
Team Page Highlighting Founders and Volunteers
To shine a light on the individuals who drive the network’s mission, I created a dedicated team page. This section honours the founders and volunteers, providing a personal connection that shows their community spirit.

The End Result
The Shropshire Charity Network’s new website has been so much fun to build. Being able to showcase the diverse and thriving charitable initiatives within the region has been wonderful. Plus the end result is a website that not only serves as a directory but also as a valuable tool to strengthen connections and build growth within the charitable sector.
